  1. Alisha what a great lesson. I really liked how you used the the cutouts to show how the DNA combined. Something that I thought was impossible for me, for I never really got along with science, was now possible. It kept me engaged and I really did understand how the DNA combined and how simple it was when RNA got involved. You took a lesson that, at least to me, had difficult content and made it so that I could understand and actully do it. Some minor suggestions. Slow down a bit, there were a few times that you went really fast and I missed some things but it was really minor. With classroom managment since you had a lot of stuff to pass out just maybe ask a few students just to help faciliate the process. Really minor things because you did such a great job!

  2. Alisha you did such a good job! Science has never really been one of my strengths nor have I ever done anything like that before. I was a bit confused when you explained the activity because you went a little fast. Maybe next time slow down during the directions and maybe even call on the students to have them re-tell the directions like Dr. Kraus does in class. After I talked to the people in my group I got the hang of it and especially the way you cut the pieces out it made it easier to understand. Good job!

  3. Alisha, Great Job! You really taught a fun and engaging lesson. Understanding DNA and RNA sequencing is important to many aspects of biology, and you made it easy to understand. Your activity was hands on, and the color coded interlocking parts made it easy to remember. Even two weeks later, I still think I remember how the bases pair up, so your lesson definitely worked on me (just don’t ask me to pronounce the names of the bases because I’ll butcher them). I think you did great work, keep it up!

  4. Alisha,
You really did an excellent job. I remember working with DNA sequencing in high school, but not vividly. Your activities were great, and it was obvious that you put tons of time into them--thank you for that. I can not think of any issues that need improving. You are a natural:)
